MyHip technology enhances the benefits of a total hip replacement by offering an accurate and personalized procedure through the use of latest technologies such as 3D preoperative planning and intraoperative verification software.

3D Preoperative planning

MyHip

Preoperative planning allows your orthopedic surgeon to set the surgical parameters needed to accurately perform your hip replacement. You will undergo a CT scan before your surgery to create a personalized 3D model of your hip, which allows your surgeon to choose the best hip prosthesis and positioning to restore function and your individual anatomy.

Intraoperative verification software

MyHip

Intraoperative verification software is a tool that provides surgeons feedback during the surgery. MyHip Verifier provides surgeons intraoperative feedback about your implant position such as the leg length, offset and cup angle values, to potentially improve your outcomes.

The MyHip journey

MyHip

You will have a 3D scan (CT) of your hip to obtain an image before your scheduled surgery date. 

MyHip

Your hip will be replicated using the 3D scans. Using this information, Medacta will create a 3D model of your hip joint and personalized surgical instruments.

MyHip

Your surgeon will customize your MyHip plan to match your anatomy and determine the position of your final hip implant.

Surgical instruments are used to prepare the bone for proper positioning of a hip prosthesis. In conventional hip replacement surgery, surgical instruments are the same for all patients. This means the instrumentation must be adjusted by the surgeon during the procedure to achieve satisfactory positioning for each patient.
